Oradell resident Peter J. Hill runs marathons not just to keep fit, but also to raise money to find a cure for type 1 diabetes. Peter's motivation to participate in Team Challenge races of the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund) is his wife, Patti, who has type 1 diabetes.

With New Jersey weather fluctuating from cold and snowy in the winter to hot and humid in the summer, Peter has relied upon HNH Fitness for his year-round marathon training since the medically based fitness center opened in Oradell in 2007. His regimen regularly includes weight training, cardio exercise, running on treadmills, cross training, and weight resistance using HNH Fitness's state-of-the-art facility and equipment.

As head of Wells Fargo Securities' Public Finance Investment Banking and a member of the Board of Directors of the JDRF New York City Chapter, Peter's responsibilities include commuting into New York City on weekdays and traveling extensively throughout the United States. HNH Fitness's flexible hours and no-wait atmosphere enable him to get in quickly to work out three nights or weekdays every week, complete his work-out, and then move on to his next activity.

"My fitness and training information is programmed into the machines using the FitLinxx tracking system so I'm ready to exercise and track my progress as soon as I arrive at HNH Fitness," says Peter. "The staff attendants are there when you need them, but they do not hover."

A veteran finisher of the 2010 New York City, Boston, Dublin, and Marine Corps marathons as a member of JDRF Team Challenge, Peter remarks that his work-outs at HNH Fitness were critical to helping him run the 2011 Marine Corps Marathon following a fractured hip sustained in the 2010 New York City Marathon.
