Jeff Schonfeld, 33, says the center's wide variety of classes, state-of-the-art equipment, and work-out options give him plenty of ways to keep in shape while juggling a demanding job as assistant registrar of Montclair State University.
"I get bored with the same work-outs and like to try something new all the time," says Jeff, of New Milford "Over the past few months, I've tried boot camp, TRX suspension training, Pilates, yoga, and cardio sculpt classes. My Saturday morning H.I.I.T. [high-intensity interval training] class keeps my metabolism up all day."
Jeff says he prefers HNH Fitness's medically based, friendly atmosphere over gyms that cater to competitive clientele. While pursuing his BS degree in biology/psychology, he tried a couple of other gyms before joining HNH Fitness in 2007. He has since completed his MPH degree in epidemiology and health education and behavioral sciences.
Over the past several years, thanks to exercising and nutrition and training advice from the center's staff, Jeff decreased body fat, built muscle mass, and improved his overall health. The HNH Fitness staff helped him to develop an individualized exercise program that suits his personal needs. The FitLinxx system enables him to track his progress from home and at the center.
"My weekly challenge is spin class, especially when the weather is too cold or too hot to go mountain biking outside," he says. "The instructors and music at HNH Fitness make it fun to zone out and get a good work-out, while always switching up my normal routine."
